| Si! El Paso Tours offers an experience you'll never forget. Spend a captivating evening at an authentic Hacienda. This is a rare opportunity to visit a private residence in Juarez, Mexico.
One of Juarez's most prominent families extends an invitation exclusively through Si! El Paso Tours to join them at their exquisite home for a Mexican Fiesta and Tentadero. The family was noted for raising fighting bulls at their Brave Bull Ranch outside of Mexico City before retiring to the Juarez area approximately 25 years ago. Two of their immediate family were matadors, including the famous "Chucho" Solarzano. The patriarch of the family supervised the building of the Solar de la Paloma himself and arranged to bring most of the wood and stone from the interior of Mexico. A Great Room, a Chapel, and a private Bullring for the family's own use grace the rustic surroundings. Handformed adobe bricks are made right on the property and were used to build many of the structures. Your evening will begin with a complimentary Margarita Cocktail and traditional Mexican snacks served on the covered veranda while you enjoy listening to a Mariachi group. Soon, it's time to follow the Mariachis to the private bullring to see a "tentadero" or a testing of young calves. This is a cape demonstration only to determine the courage of each animal for breeding purposes. The animal is not harmed in any manner. Afterwards, a Mexican Plate dinner is served in the Great Room while you enjoy the singing of one of our area's most famous Mariachi singers. A perfomance by a Ballet Folklorico group dancing regional dances from Mexico will top the evening's entertainment. We know of no other place where you can experience an evening such as this . Your guests will talk about the beautiful Solar de la Paloma for years to come. Don't miss this exciting event! (80 person minimum) |
